Publication for local launch

This option is used to publish course content for launching from local disk, CD, DVD etc. with special course player (for example, for demonstration purposes). The course that is published using this option is not intended to support any e-learning standard, therefore it will not send any data to LMS.

WARNING! Local launcher works only on computers with Windows OS.

Select empty folder where the course files will be published.

As a result of publication you will get the folder with uncompressed course (excluding design time information) and small executable file local_course.exe on the top level (see example on the picture). This executable file contains small web-server and simple interface to select course and module to launch. When the Module is selected, the Player will call default system browser with selected Module's URL.

This folder also contains autorun.inf file, which contains instructions for autostart the player on inserting CD, DVD or other media.

WARNING! Security settings on local computer could block the executable file local_course.exe from accessing the network, in this case you may see warning dialog to allow or restrict network activity. In this case allow the access to private networks (access to public networks is not used).
